Getting A Jump On Spring Break Vacation
Yeah Yeah I know its just now Christmas what the heck am I doing thinking abou spring break already. Well It all started when I was looking into taking the family to Gatlinburg to spend the holidays in a mountain cabin. You know so we could have one of those picturesque family vacations surrounded by the snow covered Smoky Mountains snuggled warm in our cabin enjoying hot chocolate and the like. Well as it turned out we decided to stay home this year as we spent last Christmas vacation on the ski slopes in Colorado. Anyway back to the point I was discussing. Spring break vacation has usually been something our family has done without as our kids usually have some sort of activities already planned but this year I think were going to take a Smoky Mountain family vacation during our spring break so we can see the national park when it’s not as crowded as other times of the year. The link is to a friend of mine and has some great Smoky Mountain photo’s if you’ve never been there. Hopefully we’ll get to see some black bears and newborn cubs. We’ve taken vacation to Pigeon forge in the past but usually late in the summer when the waterfalls are all dried up, the newborn wildlife is half grown and the leaves are starting to turn for the fall. I was shocked at how much cheaper it was to rent a cabin during the spring that when we usually go so that is the main reason I started looking at a Smoky Mountain spring break vacation.
